Custom Engraved Boards & Display Pieces
Every custom order is engraved based on how you plan to use it. To ensure the best possible result, we offer two engraving methods: Display (Non-Foodsafe) and Foodsafe.
- Display (Non-Foodsafe) Engraving – Ideal for wall hangings, memorial boards, wedding gifts, and decorative display pieces. This method allows rich greyscale shading and fine detail. There is no editing fee, as we can engrave your image directly onto the wood using a chemical process. These boards are then sealed with polyurethane.
- Foodsafe Engraving – Required for cutting boards or any surface that will come into contact with food. Since we cannot use chemicals to create greyscale effects on foodsafe boards, a $25 editing fee per image applies. We manually trace and refine your image into clean line artwork with clear separations, ensuring a crisp engraving without blotchiness. Send us your image and we’ll convert it to black & white, upscale it, and enhance fine details to bring out the best result. We also have a range of different woods you can choose from.
How it works – Foodsafe Boards
Send in your image and we’ll remove the background, convert it into a detailed sketch, and refine key features by hand if needed. This ensures clean engraving while remaining fully food-safe.
Timeframe: Image preparation can take a couple of hours. Depending on our workload it could be a couple of days — we’ll always keep you updated.
